GIRLHOOD

March 09, 2014

Yesterday I quickly stopped in to Fort Delta to see GIRLHOOD by Aimee Leigh. The exhibition celebrates young women and draws from pornography, consumerism and the sexualisation of celebrities. The installation resembled a bedroom with a playful pink colour palette. I loved everything about this exhibition and it has given me so much inspiration for upcoming work!
Also showing in Fort Delta was New Works: Yuna Chun + Kubota Fumikazu. On the way to the gallery I popped into Pressed Juices and passed through Union Lane.
